Meet Ms. Cynovia Hall

Cynovia Hall holds a bachelor's degree in education from Texas State University and a master's degree in Teacher Leadership and Development, along with a Principal's Certificate. With a diverse and rewarding career, transforming a previously failing campus into a B-rated school and implementing strategic intervention programs on high-performing campuses. Her experience spans teaching and leadership roles in both elementary and middle schools in Houston (2012 Teach for America corps member) and Washington, D.C., where she also contributed to education policy analysis for the Office of the State Superintendent of Education while serving as a founding teacher.

Returning to Houston, Cynovia has excelled in roles such as teacher, Grade Level Chair, Assistant Principal, Teacher Specialist, Resident Principal, and most recently, as the Founding Principal of YES Prep Airline Elementary. Her work has earned her recognitions including Assistant Principal of the Year, the Instructional Excellence Award by Teach for America, and being named A School That Inspires by Good Reason Houston.

Cynovia's leadership is rooted in a passion for creating environments where every student can thrive, emphasizing joy, high expectations, and strong relationships with students and families. She is driven by a deep belief in the limitless potential of every student and is committed to providing equitable education, ensuring all students have the resources and support they need to live choice-filled lives.
