Meet Mrs. Shireen Bell

Mrs. Bell is a girl's girl through and through! She is the product of generations of women who fought for educational opportunities, and as the first-born daughter of immigrants, she knows the beauty and burden of working hard to better your people. 10 years ago, she started her journey with KIPP by being placed at Voyage, and has moved up the ranks from GLC, department leader, AP, and then School Leader in 2023. Since her first year at Voyage, her passion for girls' education and liberation were ignited, and like a phoenix, she has brought Voyage up from the ashes to become a high performing school in Northeast Houston! Her values of achievement, making a difference, and sprinkling in some humor along the way can be felt throughout the walls of Voyage, and she remains committed to the fight for the educational experience that all girls deserve.
